How does it work?
Technical basics of our SYNIA conversation assistant with AI+
SYNIA solutions utilize a unique hybrid pipeline with a process-based combination of Automated Speech Recognition (ASR), Neural Machine Translation Models (NMTs), Cross Lingual Language Models (XLM) and Small and Large Language Models (SLMs/LLMs).
The use of open-source models ensures both efficient resource utilization and transparency and flexibility in development. These resource-saving models are what make local, on-premise operation possible in the first place.
Our operating models

1. SYNIA Data Center (SaaS)
The SYNIA conversation assistant is installed and deployed centrally in the SYNIA data center (located in Germany, ISO 27001 certified) on a sufficiently powerful server. The server is provided by SYNIA.
This model enables the fastest possible start without any installation and setup effort for the server on the customer side and can thus, for example, bridge a transition phase until installation in the customer's data center. -
2. Server room locally
The SYNIA conversation assistant is installed locally at the customer's premises on a sufficiently powerful AI server. The server is provided by SYNIA.
This model enables local operation ( on-premise ) under the customer's operational control . -
3. Customer data center
The SYNIA conversation assistant is installed and deployed centrally in the customer's data center on a sufficiently powerful server. The server can be provided by SYNIA.
This model enables local operation (on-premise) under the customer's operational control and can, if necessary, be provided in parallel for several customers (e.g. municipalities) via the data center.
Our 2-phase approach: For a quick start with SYNIA
We use a two-phase approach for pilot projects or live operations. A possible variation of this approach is outlined below.
Phase 1: Operation in the SYNIA data center (Quickstart) - Operating model 1
- A quick start to gain experience in the short term.
- High data protection and IT security standards thanks to ISO 27001 certification and location in Germany.
Phase 2: Operation in the customer's data center - Operating Model 3
- Evaluation and preparation of Phase 2 parallel to Phase 1
- Highest data protection and IT security standards through operation in our own data center
Both phases run in parallel, allowing for a quick start with parallel preparation for operations in the customer's data center and a seamless transition without service interruption.
